1. Adults 18 and up
2. Culinary Arts students enrolled in a formal culinary arts program
3. Students enrolled in grades 6-12
• Entrant must be an Iowa resident
• Participants non-eligible: American Egg Board members, Iowa Egg Council officers, staff and their immediate families, or anyone earning income for food preparation or recipe development.
• Recipes must be originals.
• Entrants may submit two recipes.
• Recipes may include party foods, drinks, breakfast entrees, main dishes, side dishes, snacks or desserts.
• Recipes must contain at least 4 eggs (in the form of whole eggs, yolks, or whites) and no more than a total of 12 ingredients.
• Eligible recipes will be judged on: Taste (40%), Appearance (30%), Egg Use (20%) and Originality (10%)
• Recipes using raw egg will result in a disqualification
• Contest entry begins Friday, January 3, 2014
• Contest entry deadline is Monday, March 3, 2014
