Mix sugar, oil, and pumpkin together in large bowl. Beat in eggs one at a time. In separate bowl, sift together flour, soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and cloves. Add to pumpkin mixture alternately with milk. Stir in cranberries and chocolate chips. Pour into 2 well-greased bread pans. Bake at 300°F for 1 ¼ hours. Cool before removing from pans.
