URBANDALE, Iowa – July 8, 2024 – The Iowa Egg Council, in collaboration with Rose Acre Farms and HATCH for Hunger, is proud to announce the donation of 237,600 eggs to the Food Bank of Iowa. This contribution will support local communities by providing essential nutrition to families in need.
On Monday, July 8th, 2024, Rose Acre Farms donated eggs to the Food Bank of Iowa, where they will be distributed to families facing food insecurity. This initiative underscores the commitment of the Iowa Egg Council, HATCH for Hunger, and Rose Acre Farms to giving back to the community and ensuring that nutritious food reaches those who need it most.
“We are proud to produce eggs every day to feed people, and we are glad to help our neighbors in need after the recent devastating tornadoes and flooding,” said Tony Wesner, Chief Operating Officer of Rose Acre Farms. “We love supporting the local communities surrounding our farms, and are glad to lend a hand when and where we can.”
